The U.S stock market is home to the most valuable listed companies in the world. Even with their combined value exceeding $20 trillion, these stocks account for only a small percentage of total market capitalization. The domestic stock market is also home to thousands of smaller and mid-sized businesses, each with its own set of investors and shareholders.
